Quick Craft: Coin Bank

Are you looking for quick craft and thinking of recycling? Why not try to recycle or repurpose any used and cleaned evaporated milk can into a colorful coin bank.

Coin Bank

Here’s what you need:

  • Empty and clean evaporated milk tin can
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Washi Tapes
  • Buttons
  • Yarns
  • Jute Fabric
  • Paintbrush
  • Any decorative pieces

Make sure your tin can is clean and dry before making this project.

Now let’s start , you can wrap your tin can with washi tapes or jute fabric or yarn which ever you like to use.  If you’re using yarn you can think of patterns or you can either alternately use jute fabric and yarn.

For Jute Fabric:

Get the dimension of your tin can then measure the jute fabric you’ll need to cover it. Use hot glue gun to stick the fabric onto your can. Then carefully dispense the hot glue on your tin can and press the jute fabric gently.

For Yarns:

Pour some glue in a small container and use paintbrush to coat the outside of the tin can. Then start wrapping the can pressing them carefully, continue wrapping until it is fully covered. Let it dry.

For Washi Tapes:

Choose the tape you like to wrap your tin can. You can decide with the color arrangement or patterns. Start wrapping the can from the top to the bottom.

Once you’re done wrapping it you can choose any decorative pieces to decorate your recycled tin can coin bank.

Tadaa!!! Here’s my finished project, I chose jute fabric and decorative fabric tape to cover the tin can and added some embellishments to decorate it.
